blogging hiatus, but now that we're halfway through

February I think I can manage a few pics.

It's Avila Barn Time!

It's that time of year again...the air is getting crisp, pumpkins are starting to crop up, yes friends it's fall and that means it's Avila Barn time!  And what a difference a year makes!  Last year Emmy was 6 months old and she could barely sit by herself as I propped her up on pumpkins trying to get that perfect picture.  This year at 18 months I was lucky if I could get her to stand still long enough to take a picture!

We had Emmy's boyfriend Caden up for a jam-packed weekend of fun.  We played with all of her toys, read lots of books, went to Avila Barn and fed the animals, and even squeezed in a little beach time.  This is the first time it has been warm enough to let her in the water and she loved it!  She didn't wait for the go ahead, she just charged it straight into the icy water with no hesitation.  I was waiting for a wail as the frigid water crept up her little torso, but all that came out were giggles!
